Sanitation Manager

Location: Hudsonville, MI

Position Overview:

As the Sanitation Manager, you will be essential in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our
production facility across all three shifts. Your responsibilities will include leading a team of
sanitation personnel, implementing sanitation protocols, managing the annual sanitation plan, and
ensuring a hygienic environment that complies with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision
    • Lead and manage the sanitation team.
    • Schedule and assign tasks to sanitation personnel across all 3 shifts.
    • Provide training and guidance to ensure team members follow proper sanitation
      procedures.
    • Ensure that teams have the tools, equipment, and materials they need to perform cleaning,
      sanitization, and other tasks.
  • Sanitation Protocols
    • Develop and implement effective sanitation protocols for production areas and equipment.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
    • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to coordinate sanitation schedules.
  • Program Development
    • Create, implement, and improve sanitation programs, policies, and key performance
      indicators.
    • Develop functional sanitation objectives and plant metrics.
  • Documentation
    • Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities, including cleaning schedules, checklists,
      and reports.
    • Ensure all sanitation documentation meets regulatory requirements.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of sanitation equipment.
    • Report any equipment issues to the maintenance department.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Work closely with the quality control team to address any sanitation-related quality
      concerns.
    • Implement corrective actions to prevent sanitation-related issues.
  • Safety Compliance
    • Enforce safety regulations and guidelines during sanitation activities.
    • Conduct regular safety training for sanitation personnel.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

  • Experience & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
  • Advanced managerial skills.
  • Ability to flex schedule to include all 3 shifts, if needed.
  • Supervisory experience, preferred.
  • Food industry experience, preferred.
  • Knowledge of sanitation protocols and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Maintenance Technician – 3rd shift

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing machinery and equipment during the shift. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and collaborating with the production team to ensure minimal downtime and optimal production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
    • Conduct inspections to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
  • Troubleshooting
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions promptly.
    • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to find effective solutions.
  • Repair and Replacement
    • Repair or replace defective parts as needed.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the availability of necessary spare parts.
  • Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history.
    • Utilize maintenance management documentation procedures for documentation.
  • Safety Compliance
    • Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
    • Participate in safety training programs.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with production and other departments to understand equipment needs and priorities.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to production personnel.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Maintenance experience, preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards are not overlooked.
  • Physical stamina to handle full shift of being active.

Batching Technician – 3rd shift

Location: Greater Grand Rapids, MI

Position Overview:

As Batching Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient mixing of ingredients to meet production requirements. You will be part of a team of batching technicians working to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Batching Duties
    • Follow the batching process, including the accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients according to recipe specifications and production schedules.
    • Coordinate with the Batching Supervisor to ensure timely availability of ingredients and materials for batching operations.
    • Monitor batching equipment and systems, troubleshooting any issues and coordinating with maintenance staff for repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Safety & Compliance
    • Strictly adhere to safety protocols, sanitation standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of batching operations to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of batch production, ingredient usage, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance activities.
  • Collaboration
    • Collaborate with quality control and R&D teams to evaluate product quality and assist in the development of new formulations and recipes.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize batching processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of batching equipment, systems, and processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, SQF).
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines.
