Position Overview:

The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment to ensure the efficient, safe, and high-quality packaging of products. This role owns the administration of food safety systems, environmental health and safety programs, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, corrective action management, employee training, and certification programs. The Compliance Specialist serves as the primary coordinator for customer, regulatory, certification, food safety, and safety audits while ensuring the organization maintains compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, FDA, Organic, Kosher, and other applicable requirements. This position partners closely with operations, quality, sanitation, maintenance, and leadership teams to promote a culture of food safety, workplace safety, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

      Sanitation Technician – 2nd shift

      Position Overview:

      As a Sanitation Technician II, you will be responsible for independently performing routine and complex sanitation tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our production environment. In this role, you will follow established procedures, mentor junior team members, and help maintain compliance with food safety and quality standards. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will support efficient and hygienic operations.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Sanitation Execution
        • Independently execute sanitation protocols for production equipment, machinery, and facility areas
        • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble equipment in accordance with SOPs
        • Accurately mix and use sanitation chemicals according to safety and usage guidelines
      • Monitoring & Compliance
        • Conduct routine inspections and identify sanitation issues or maintenance needs
        • Maintain accurate cleaning logs, checklists, and sanitation documentation
        • Escalate equipment malfunctions or deviations from cleaning standards
        • Support compliance with all regulatory standards including GMP, FDA, and OSHA
      • Team Support & Communication
        • Assist with training and onboarding of Sanitation Technician I team members
        • Provide input to improve sanitation procedures and workflows
      • All other duties as assigned.

      Experience & Qualifications:

      • High school diploma or GED, required
      • 1-2 years of sanitation experience in a food, beverage, or manufacturing environment
      • Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation procedures, and equipment handling
      • Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines
      • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and correct sanitation deficiencies
      • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
      • Effective communicator and team collaborator
      • Physically able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
      • Physically able to work in wet or humid environments and around cleaning chemicals
